The 4 days’ double gorilla trekking in Uganda takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in South Western part of the country. During this tour, visit two sectors in Bwindi trekking two different gorilla families. Each gorilla family will create everlasting memories since they have different members.

Trekking each gorilla family allows you to spend an hour in their presence learning about their behaviors and movements. Also, have a good time on the Uganda equator where you get to stand on both the north and south poles at the same time. Also buy some African handmade crafts as you enjoy the art pieces.

Day 1. Pick up from Entebbe/Kampala and transfer to Bwindi national park

Be picked from agreed point either Kampala or Entebbe and transfer to Bwindi national park a home to almost half of the mountain gorillas in the world. This park has over 19 habituated gorilla families that are ready for trekking.

While on the journey to this park, enjoy the surrounding such as the hillside, terraced land, plantations and farmlands, tea estates and many more others. Check in the accommodation and this will be the end of the day.

Day 2. Gorilla trekking in Ruhija sector and transfer to Rushaga sector

Begin with breakfast and the driver guide will take you to the briefing point at the park offices where you get the required information about this great day’s activity of spotting the gorillas. The dos and don’ts will be well explained in order to safeguard you and the wildlife. Also, be told about the basic necessities you need to have while on this day. Trekking will begin immediately under the help of the park ranger guide.

More will be spotted in the forest including the varvet monkeys, red colobus monkeys, olive baboons and many others. Meet the Gorillas and spend an hour following them though the overall experience takes about 3 to 8 hours. After returning to the lodge with your certificate of trekking, immediately check out and shift or drive to another sector for the next day trekking experience.

Day 3. Second gorilla trekking in Rushaga sector and leisure

Like the first trek, briefing will begin and then trekking follows immediately. This time it will be in a different sector with another gorilla family. Meet and spend an hour in their presence watching over their behaviors and movements.

Depending on the gorilla family, the juveniles will be playing, Silverback practicing its leadership skills, female gorillas breastfeeding and many more others. After trekking, you will head to the lodge for leisure evening.

Day 4. Head back to Kampala stopover at the equator

Leave Bwindi national park and head to Kampala with the major stopover at the Uganda equator in Mpigi district. This point is good for shopping handmade crafts, taking photo memories and lunch. Proceed to Kampala and be dropped at any preferable and agreed point to mark the end of the Safari.
