5 days Rwanda culture and primate safari

Overview

Rwanda is known as a cleanest country in the whole of Africa and it gains its slogan as a land of thousand hills which itself explains how beautiful the country is and why one should Rwanda it as their preferred destination. This 5 days Rwanda culture and primate safari will lead you to the popular Nyungwe National park for the trekking of chimpanzees where you will have a chance to spot other primate species as well as beautiful bird species and reptiles if lucky enough.

It will proceed and take you to the Rwanda communities to interact with the locals for different occasions that will make your safari more colorful than any other safari you have ever taken. Take a note that this safari will start in Kigali and ends in Kigali city.

Day 1. Transfer to Nyungwe National Par

Be welcomed by one of our safari driver guides at the airport as soon as arrive. He will brief you about the safari then later drive heading to Nyungwe National Park which is located in the southern region of Rwanda.

Have several stopovers for landscape viewing and lunch before getting to the agreed location. Continue to check in with the booked lodge later and stay for a night preparing for the next activity.

Day 2. Chimpanzees trekking, nature walk

Have your breakfast early morning then after get into your safari car and drive heading to the park offices where you will meet a ranger guide to take you through a quick briefing then after move into the jungle in search for chimpanzees.

Spend one hour in the presence of these apes, learning more about them. Later retreat to the office to meet your safari guide and head back to the lodge for lunch. After your meal, jump into the car and move for another activity that resembles morning trekking though not similar and get a chance to spot other species that you might have missed during trekking chimpanzees.

During this walk expect come across different amazing things like monkeys, butterflies, birds, plants and flowers, reptiles and many more. Return to the lodge after the experience for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3. Community walk

Day 4. Canopy walk

Day 4 will be a day full of fun and enjoyment therefore, after your breakfast directly drive to the office where you will meet a local guide to take you for this amazing and exciting activity where you will be able to explore most of the wild animals like monkeys, birds, and others. Drive back to the lodge after the experience and relax in the afternoon with an optional activity of your choice.

Day 5. Drive back to Kigali

Wake up early morning from your warm bed on this last day of your safari, enjoy your delicious breakfast then after check out with the lodge and embark on your journey to Kigali.

Visit Rwanda city and see how clean the country is, you can also visit Museum for study or Rwanda memorial genocide for the history about Rwanda then later be dropped at the airport or the agreed location by the safari guide and fly back home.
