Overview
Enjoy your 3 days Bwindi Gorilla trekking which will be done among two countries since you will be picked up from Rwanda “a land of thousand hills” leading you to Uganda the “pearl of Africa”. Some of the activities are to be done such as Gorilla trekking which will lead you to other primates mostly monkeys, not only them but also different bird species and many more.
Expect to meet the Batwa people for the great experience as you walk through the community, you will have a stopover in Kabale town for lunch then later proceed with the journey.
Day 1. Transfer to Nyungwe National Par
Our well behaved driver guide will pick you up from Kigali where he will brief you about the safari and all the routes that will be used. You will use Katuna boarder to check in Uganda and you will have a stopover in Kabale city for lunch. Later proceed with the journey to check in with the booked lodge.
Day 2. Chimpanzees trekking, nature walk
Gorilla trekking is best done early morning therefore, after breakfast drive to the Park offices for briefing from the ranger guide. A ranger guide will lead you for the field and only three hours are to be spent while trekking these primates that is to say one in search for them, one in presence with them then the third one retreating to the office to meet the safari guide.
Enjoy them in that one hour seeing how they groom each other, climbing techniques, mothers giving care to the infants, if lucky enough they can even hunt for meet to change on the balanced diet or patrol to check their territories.
In the afternoon after lunch, you will have another amazing activity, the Batwa cultural experience and walk in the community. Interact with the Batwa people meet the elders for storytelling and hear how these people used to survive while in the jungle, participate and get involved in their cultural music and dance and many other activities. Drive back to the lodge after the experience for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3. Community walk
Arise early morning from your warm bed, enjoy your delicious breakfast accompanied with a cup of coffee or tea depending on your choice and prepare for the Departure. Take your time to pack your staffs then after meet your safari driver to embark on your journey. Your safari driver guide will probably smartly drop you at the agreed location.
