Ruhija Community Rest Camp

Ruhija Community Rest Camp is a budget accommodation in Ruhija region to the east of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park few meters from the park boundary. Ruhija Community Rest Camp is positioned opposite the Institute of Tropical Forests Conservation close to the Uganda Wildlife Authority Headquarters at Ruhija.

The campsite is located in Ruhija village, Ruhija sub-county. It is a beautiful community based, self-sustainable enclosure, adjacent to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park opposite ITFC offices, just at the edge of the forest where Gorrilla trekking takes place. It is ideal place to stay when going to trek the mountain gorillas of Bitukura, Oruzogo and Kyaguriro groups in Ruhija, Bwindi impenetrable national park. Birders are offered an ideal accommodation in the campsite where more than seven endemic species of birds along libertine Rift Valley are viewed while at the campsite. Enjoy the multi-specie thicket that encompasses our campsite a cool natural atmosphere that you will find nowhere else.
