Accessibility to Bwindi Forest Lodge
By road, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest can be reached easily being approx. 480 kilometers from Kampala City (9–10-hour drive) through the most scenic part of Africa’s rich forests, lakes, mountains and wildlife. This can be either through Mbarara, Kabale, Kanungu, Botogota to Buhoma Bwindi; or Fort portal, Katunguru, Ishasha, Butogota, Buhoma-Bwindi. By air, Buhoma Bwindi can be reached by taking a domestic flight to Kihihi Airport the closest airstrip to Bwindi, located north of the park and close to the Buhoma sector. Flights to Kihihi are available from Entebbe in the morning and afternoon.
