Spend the 7 days Uganda Gorillas, Golden monkeys and chimpanzees exploring the most attractive primates such as Gorillas, chimpanzees and golden monkeys. On top of these, spot the varvet monkeys, red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, L’hoest’s monkeys, olive baboons and many more. Birds are also seen plus a lot of savanna animals in Queen Elizabeth National Park are these are non-other than the rare tree climbing lions, elephants, buffalos, Uganda Kobs, Bush bucks, warthogs, giraffes, zebras, and many more others.

Detailed tour plan

Day 1. Arrive in Entebbe and leisure evening

Arrive in Entebbe international Airport and be welcomed by the driver guide that will take you through briefing about this amazing primate Safari. Without wasting time, you will head to the any booked resort hotel for leisure evening while preparing for a long journey tomorrow to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.

Day 2. Transfer from Kampala to Mgahinga National Park

Breakfast will be served and then transfer to the smallest protected Area in Uganda and that is Mgahinga National Park. This park is part of Virunga Mountains hence homing the rare mountain Gorillas and the Golden monkeys.

The road trip is amazing as you will have different stopovers on different viewing points like that on the point where the equator crosses Uganda. There will be another stopover in Mbarara at Igongo cultural center for lunch and touring the museum. Arrive and immediately check in the room after a long day drive.

Day 3. Golden monkey trekking and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Have breakfast and then take a short drive to the park offices for briefing about golden monkey trekking. The rules and regulations to follow while in this trails, the required information about the Golden monkeys, materials you need on this tour among others are all told during this amazing exercise.

The guide will lead you into the forest to begin the search for these rare primates and meeting them in the bamboo forest offers an opportunity to spend an hour in their presence and this will create everlasting memories. The Golden monkeys are so playful and they tend to come closer as you use flash light camera. Enjoy the best moment and if you’re lucky, meet the mountain Gorillas on the same trail.

After lunch, take a 3 hours’ drive to Bwindi National park which is a home to almost half of the remaining mountain Gorillas in the whole world. This park is one of the UNESCO world heritage sites due to its diverse scenery and unique features. In the evening arrive, take a warm shower as you prepare for the next adventure with the gorillas.

Day 4. Gorilla trekking

Morning breakfast will be served and then a short drive to the park offices for briefing and this will lead you to know about the guidelines to follow while on this great day. Be advised not to see flash photography, keeping a distance is a must, don’t shout while in the forest, don’t eat or drink in front of the gorillas and many more others.

Enjoy the trek under the guidance of the park ranger guide and porters in case you have a lot of luggage. Spend a maximum of an hour following the gorillas and this will create everlasting memories as the Silverback practice its leadership skills. Since the overall trekking experience takes about 8 hours, you will head to the lodge for leisure evening while preparing for the day long journey to Kibale National Park the next day.

Day 5. Drive to Kibale via Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park

Take delicious breakfast and head to Kibale National Park passing through queen Elizabeth National Park. This day will give you a chance to spot the rare tree climbing lions in Ishasha sector, also meet the elephants, buffalos, warthogs, Oribis, Bushbucks, Uganda Kobs, and more. Reach in Kibale forest in the evening for relaxation and dinner at the booked lodge.

Day 6. Chimpanzee trekking and Isunga community tour

Have breakfast and head to Kanyanchu information tourist center for briefing and assigning the park ranger. Spend an hour with the community of chimpanzees as you enjoy their movements and behaviors. There will be a chance of spotting other primates like the olive baboons, red tailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkey and many more others. You can head back to the lodge.

Lunch will be served or have packed lunch and then take a community tour in Isunga village at the edge of Kibale forest to learn through discovery on how the local people leave alongside the wild animals. Discover the crater lakes, typical African homesteads, food and cash crops grown in this community and many more others. Spend about 3 hours on the walk and head back to the lodge to rest as you prepare for your dinner.

Day 7. Head back to Kampala

Leave Kibale National Park in the morning after breakfast and head to Kampala with a stopover at Mubende Town to enjoy lunch and other snacks. Proceed and be dropped at Entebbe international Airport.
