Detailed itinerary

Day 1. Arrival and transfer Mgahinga

Immediately as get at the airport the safari driver guide will pick you up and drive you to the nearby hotel for a drink. He will brief you about the safari as you’re having your drink then later depart to Mgahinga. You will have a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe for lunch and good viewing point then later proceed to check in with the booked lodge. Depending on the arrival time you can opt to have any evening activity or relax and prepare for the trekking next day.

Day 2. Gorilla trekking

Arise early morning for the delicious breakfast then after, drive to the starting point (the park offices) for briefing and being grouped by the Park ranger guide who will later lead you in the field in search for Gorillas. Trekking these primates you must be with a Gorilla permit to allow you come across and spend time with them for three hours. Enjoy their amazing social behaviors in case you gain a chance to trek any family then later retreat to the office and meet your safari driver to move back to the lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon, you can have optional activities like Batwa trail experience where you explore those channels that the Batwa people used the moment they lived in the jungle, nature walk where you gain a chance to spot other primates than Gorillas, community experience and many more.

Day 3. Drive back to Kampala

On day 3 it will be the end of your safari therefore, after having your breakfast you will embark on your journey and drive back to Kampala. You will have a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe again for your lunch, photo shooting and other leisure activities including visiting the craft shop to buy some souvenirs then later proceed with your journey. The safari driver guide will drop you at the agreed location and fly back home.
