The Best of East Africa experience is here for you! In 10 days. It is a holiday time when you think of nothing but how lovely Mother Nature is, the animals, primates, birds, reptiles, good sleep, tasty food, and new friends.

You have a selection of the best of the activities and destinations in the east of the continent of Africa. we take you to Bwindi impenetrable national park in the southwestern part of Uganda; hosting the sought after mountain Gorillas for gorilla trekking; Masai Mara reserve in the republic Kenya for game drive and cultural encounter; Lake Nakuru for Bird watching and game drive; Serengeti National park for game drive and nature photography; Ngorongoro crater in Tanzania for Game viewing. It is the best time to relax, learn of what takes place in the wildlife, take nature photos and come close to some if not all the animals you have ever imagined to see. The trip starts from Entebbe international airport and ends at Arusha Tanzania.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kampala

Upon landing at Entebbe international airport, our company representative will gladly meet and greet you; explaining what will transpire during your stay in the country. Uganda is largely a peaceful country, adorned with beauty and tranquility. It is “the pearl of Africa”. You will share some glass of Juice as the briefing goes on, thereafter, transfer to the lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight.

If you land feeling fresh and early, you can take a tour around the bustling Kampala city; Uganda’s largest, and oldest capital city. What to do around Kampala include shopping, visit religious sites, African craft village, and independence monuments. Just in case you love night life, then Kampala is home, with lots of happening places. The driver guide will be glad to take you places before escaping to the wild in the following day. English is accepted and widely spoken around the country.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable NP

At 8:00 hrs, you should have had breakfast and checkout of the Lodge. The Journey to Bwindi impenetrable National park starts, with views of the rolling Hills, lush plantations, homesteads, busy towns, and more. It is all well to wave back at the happy natives, request your driver guide to have an enroute stopover where you feel like viewing, and well to ask the ranger guide all questions regarding the western part of Uganda or the safari destination.

Heading south west is a thrilling experience as the lovely weather, culture, Ankole long horned cattle and more can be seen and experienced. You will have Lunch enroute, and a late arrival at the lodge for dinner and a peaceful nap. Upon arriving at the Lush Bwindi Impenetrable National park, you will have arrived at your cousins-the world’s most powerful primates the Mountain Gorillas Territory. Settle in well, and end the day with dinner and overnight.

Mountain Gorillas are only found in Uganda, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Research reveal that these are the most powerful primate species in the world, and have a common ancestry with man. The genes are over 95$ similar to Man, and thus can be proven with the one hour given for watching, and taking Photos. The trekking highlight is often getting a close view of the silver-Back, the mother’s breast feed the infants and young-stars samousalting. This day ends with a delicious dinner meal and a peaceful nap at the lodge.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking

Wake up in the morning for breakfast then after check out with the lodge and drive to another amazing destination for another activity. As soon as you start entering the park you will be welcomed by a number of animals where you will meet elephants feeding alongside the road, lions resting in the midst of road coming near your cars which is more interesting then later proceed to check in with the booked lodge for lunch.

In the afternoon you drive to Kazinga channel for a boat ride experience where you will interact with the fishermen and if possible participate in fishing and catch a fish by your own. During this activity you high chances of spotting water animals such as crocodiles, hippos and also water birds such as kingfishers, vultures, fish Eagles, crakes and many more. Return to the lodge later for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Depart back to Kampala. Fly to Nairobi

After a delicious breakfast meal at the lodge, depart your lodge for a scenic drive to Nairobi city in the republic of Kenya. The journey to Kampala on road will take about 7-8 hours, with an enroute stopover at the equator for Lunch. You will also go watch the equator monument; a proof of what happens at the point where the imaginary line divides the earth into two; the northern and southern hemisphere. The Imaginary line is found in only thirteen countries in the entire world, thus what a privilege of exploring it.

Right after the experiments, you will embark on a journey to Entebbe international airport for a flight to Jomo Kenyatta international airport in Nairobi. Upon landing, our company driver guide will be waiting with the ply card inscribed on your name. Meet, greet and transfer to your lodge for check-in, dinner and a night stay.

Day 5: Transfer to Lake Nakuru national park

Today starts with a tasty cup of coffee at the lodge and thereafter hit the road on a long drive to Lake Nakuru National park which is Africa’s true birders Haven. It is a smooth drive, with much of your concentration taken up by the attractions enroute; notably the plantations, smiling faces, African style homesteads, rolling hills, and more. The beautiful weather in the countryside makes the start of your wilderness escape special.

You will get to the park at evening hours, proceed to your lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight stay. Lake Nakuru national park is famous for the Pink flamingoes that parade at its shore thus a great opportunity for you to go and explore in the evening hours, taking photos, and identifying the pelicans, water ducks, and more.

Day 6: Sunrise Game drive and Transfer to Masai Mara reserve

Welcome the day in the wilderness with the camera set to capture beautiful sun rise. At 6:30; the vehicle will follow the designated trail, with hopes of meeting among others the lions, leopards, or hyenas from night duty returning to their hideouts. Sunrise game drive is for you to see how animals start their day, in addition to spotting variety of birds such as the flamingoes, ostriches, and more; the warthogs, elephants, Buffaloes, waterbuck, and more starting their day. The Game drive will last for 3 hours, and then Bush breakfast.

After breakfast, return and checkout of the lodge for a transfer to Masai Mara reserve; one of Kenya’s most visited game reserve. There will be an enroute stopover at the Great Rift Valley for nature photography and hike, Lunch break at Narok town, and then a two hour drive to your lodge in or around the park for check-in, dinner and a nap.

Day 7: Game drive and Masai cultural encounter

Brighten your morning with a lip-smacking breakfast meal at the lodge. Next in the program will be game viewing which lasts for approximately 4 hours. The wilderness is large and its habitats roaming freely meaning it will require some luck to encounter all the animals you have put in your wish list. Whereas the grassers such as the Buffaloes, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, different antelope species, warthogs, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, gazelles and more can easily be encountered; the cats notably hyenas, cheetah, lions, leopards that are also present at this destination are hard to find.

What a day it will be if you are privileged to encounter a hunting experience, birth or a fight. It is all about surprise as you get to spot several bird species, primates, reptiles, and plants. The stunning beauty of the Masai landscape will keep you admiring the breathtaking landscape and taking the best of photos.

After game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch and some rest. Thereafter, what follows is a cultural encounter with the Masai warriors; who will entertain you through dance, community walks, stories, and more. At sunset, retire to the lodge for dinner and a peaceful slumber.

Day 8: Cross to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will check-out of the lodge for a transfer to Serengeti national park; one of Africa’s top safari destinations. This is where the world’s largest land animal movement takes place; the annual wildebeest migration. It stretches to the Republic of Kenya as Masai Mara reserve. The annual wildebeest migration is followed by several photographers and tourists as to see over 2 million wildebeests, accompanied by zebras, gazelles to find fresh pasture at Masai Mara.

Before it happens, a lot of obstacles must be faced and overcome; notably; the Mara River invested with Hippos and crocodiles. You will have a 6-7 hour road drive, with an enroute stopover for document verification at the border post. Next stop is for Lunch, and late arrival at the lodge with views of the rolling hills, water bodies, dotted homesteads and busy towns. End this day with a yummy dinner meal and a peaceful nap.

Day 9: Game drive and proceed to Ngorongoro crater

At 7:00 am, you will wake up, pick the packed breakfast, and go to the wilderness for a game drive experience which will last for approximately 3-4 hours. This time is to uncover what transpires first thing when the animals have just started their day. It is in the early hours of the day like this that you have high chances of spotting among others the lions, leopards, hyenas, cheetahs and hippos return to their hideouts, or making a hunt.

There are those animals that are easily seen and you will not need to be so lucky. Among those are the elephants, Buffaloes, zebras, warthogs, giraffes, wildebeests, waterbucks, Rhinos, and more. The ranger guide will help you know what transpires in the wild, like the names of the common species of plants, how animals, feed, which is the best prey for predators, how predators hunt and the prey survey their territory.

After the game drive, you will have breakfast in the wild, and return to the lodge for Lunch and checkout for a Transfer to Ngorongoro crater; one of the natural wonders in the world. Ngorongoro crater is one of the largest land calderas in the world. For today, you will just drive to the lodge to check-in and retire to bed for relaxation, dinner and a nap.

Day 10: Game viewing and departure

After breakfast, you will move-out for a sunrise game drive around the open savannah park. Time will be about 06:30 hours, when you will catch the stunning photos of the sunrise; the night hunters returning to their hideouts whereas the grazers are looking out for the fresh grass. The activity lasts for approximately 3-4 hours, while identifying the different park residents by name, color, and characteristics. some few notable ones include; the hippos, zebras, impalas, herd of elephants, herd of Buffalos, zebras, leopard, hyenas, lions, cheetah, and more.

Though the cats are present in the park, finding them is real luck. You will also take time and explore the caldera which is one of the world’s largest land calderas and acts as a hideout to the different birds and mammals. Stop for a moment and take photos, before returning to the lodge for Lunch and then checkout for a transfer to Kilimanjaro airport or Arusha airport in Tanzania.
